Anthony Demetre, renowned chef at Arbutus and Wild Honey, has created something of a potential dream team by partnering with luxury hospitality brand Searcys for this latest launch. Martin Zahumensky, formerly of Texture and Hibiscus, has been appointed Head Chef to look after day-to-day kitchen matters.

A celebration of all things British, the menus will change each month, with a focus on provenance and seasonality. Alongside snacks such as Pigs head with ‘ndjua' mayonnaise and Potato doughnuts with Parmesan, expect to find starters of Brixham crab, apple, and celeriac and Ox tongue with green vegetables, crisp tripe and oyster mayonnaise. Signature mains include Pork belly, carrots, grapefruit and liquorice and Grilled monkfish with cockles, kale, rosemary and anchovy vinaigrette. Proper puddings include an unapologetically indulgent Apple tarte tatin.

The Sky Bar, overlooking the London skyline, celebrates variations on classic cocktails influenced by the British landscape, and a wine list of small boutique growers and biodynamic bottles. Award-winning bar manager Jeremy Pascal and his team use the best of British ingredients for signature cocktails such as After a Walk in the Forest; vodka, vermouth, pickled mushrooms and walnut and Hays & Plums; a recipe inspired by the rural Dales using fresh lemon, plum puree and hay syrup, mixed with Sacred gin and Peychaud's Bitters.

The food is flipping exciting without being pretentious, the view is pretty snazzy, the prices are sensible, oh and it's one of East London's few interesting restaurants where you can actually book a table!
