Chile is descending on the City of London with Mercado Chileno - a vibrant festival of Chilean wine, food, cocktails, travel, arts, crafts, live music and dance.
What.../
Mercado Chileno is a pop up event, hosted by Wines of Chile, held over two days in Old Spitalfields Market. There will be over 300 wines open, with the “Three Wine Men” (Oz Clark, Olly Smith and Tim Atkin MW) there to lead you around the room tasting their highlights. On Saturday, Jancis Robinson MW will be signing her latest edition of the Oxford Companion to Wine.
Chilean born chef Francisco Hernandez from The Savoy Hotel will be taking visitors on a gastronomic journey through Chile. Susy Atkins, a regular from BBC's Saturday Kitchen and Delicious Magazine, will be pairing food with wine. Chilean café, Rica Rica will have a stall bringing their twist on traditional Chilean street food.
