Gunpowder is a home-style Indian kitchen, open at White's Row, Spitalfields. What.../ Taking residence in an old curry house, the restaurant is named after the spice mix ‘gunpowder', a heady mix of pulses and spices, including chilli, curry leaves and ‘hing'.  Gunpowder also carries a historical significance; situated at 11 White's Row, the restaurant is a neighbour to Gun Street and Artillery Lane, recalling the areas former use as the Old Artillery Ground.
